This filter allows light visible to the eye to pass through and is therefore ideal as a defined luminance filter. At the same time, the spectrum on the IR and UV side is blocked so that no unsightly halos due to chromatic aberration occur in systems with refracting elements and sensors with broad spectral sensitivity.
Mode of operation: The UV-IR filter provides a defined air/glass/air transition that is homofocal with other Astronomik filters without cutting the visible spectrum. It also works very well against dust particles and suspended particles of all sizes, thus protecting sensitive surfaces of optical components.

Please note: In principle, all camera lenses can be used with the Clip-Filter - i.e. Canon EF lenses or camera lenses from other third party manufacturers such as Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Walimex etc. However, the use of clip-filters with Canon EF-S lenses is NOT possible!
