Moravian G2-8300FW - Monochrome CCD Camera
The G2-8300FW CCD cameras from Moravian offer very good performance on almost all amateur telescopes for astrophotography. With a chip diagonal of 22.7 mm, the camera can even be used with stable 1.25" focusers. The resolution of 8.5 MPx and 4.5 µm pixels allows fine object details to be captured with a large field of view. The G2-8300FW is a top camera for virtually all amateur telescopes.
- Internal filter wheel for 5 filters 1.25" or 31 mm unmounted
- 2-stage Peltier cooling for up to 50 °C below ambient temperature
- Mechanical shutter (ideal for dark frames)
- Exposure time from 100 ms to any value
- Transport case with matching foam inserts
Moravian Off-Axis Guider
Autoguiding has become standard on almost all mounts, and even the highest quality mounts benefit from the tracking control provided by a sensitive autoguider. Guiding becomes truly precise when a so-called off-axis guider is used. Moravian continues to follow this path and has screwed the new OAG directly to the housing of the G2 model series.
- Firmly screwed off-axis guider for Moravian CCD with T2 thread connection on the telescope side
- The length of the off-axis guider is ideal for achieving a working distance of exactly 55 mm (from the connection thread on the telescope side to the camera sensor).
- The optimised position of the prism prevents shadowing on the camera sensor
- The Off-Axis Guider is ideal for the Moravian G0-0300 Autoguider, the distances are exactly right
- Other autoguiders can be connected via the 1.25" adapter
Moravian Autoguider G0-0300 - Ultra-light autoguider with high sensitivity
The G0 series is based on the highly sensitive Sony ICX CCD chips. The guider is powered and controlled directly from the USB port. It fits directly into any 1.25" clamp and can therefore be easily focused by sliding it. The round and compact housing design means that there are no problems when using off-axis guiders or filter wheels.
The G0 autoguider can be used with the standard Moravian SIPS software, and drivers for connection to Maxim DL and Astroart are also included. Since many astrophotographers today use netbooks that rarely have CD drives, the software is supplied on a USB stick.
