A steam engine as a cardboard kit, powered by real steam. This model is not only magnificent to look at, it also works magnificently.
The corrosion-resistant aluminium boiler has a magnetic pressure relief valve, the fire from 5 tea lights is shielded by a galvanised wire mesh and the steam is conducted through a closed hose and foil system and released into the open air via a chimney.
The power output remains modest, but so does the safety-relevant boiler pressure.
