The Sky-Watcher GPS mouse - automatically determining the exact location
The Sky-Watcher GPS mouse makes operating your Sky-Watcher mount even easier. You no longer have to manually enter the date, time and location. Just switch on the mount and the telescope computer receives all the necessary GPS data automatically. It is only a small, light box - about as big as a notebook mouse - but insignificant-seeming addition greatly improves the ease of use without adding noticeably to the weight. You no longer have to bother with latitude and longitude or the exact time. Simply leave your new GPS receiver to do the work for you.
The GPS mouse fits all Sky-Watcher SynScan hand boxes from version 3.0. Installation is very straightforward: the cable is connected to the hand box and the box is ready for use.
You can use the module with these telescopes:
- telescopes with NEQ-3 Pro, NEQ-5 Pro, HEQ-5 Pro or Pro EQ-6 mounts
- telescopes with Sky-Watcher AZ GoTo mounts
- FlexTube GoTo Dobsonians
- The advantages in a nutshell:
- GPS module for Sky-Watcher GoTo telescopes
- no need to input location and time
- increase in positioning accuracy
- cable kit available for connecting to PC
Our expert comment:
Please note that the supply voltage of 12VDC is sufficiently high. If the battery voltage is too low (below 12VDC), the GPS module will not be recognised.
