Column P200 observatory pier, 140cm overall height

The P200 observatory column is designed for maximum load-bearing capacity with its pyramid shape.

At the top, the pyramid has a cross-section that corresponds to that of a round tube with a diameter of 200 mm, hence its name. In the lower section, where the forces are greatest, the comparable diameter has already increased to 400 mm in the 1000 mm version. The rigidity follows the diameter to the third power; the diameter, which has grown to 400 mm, is therefore already superior to a steel tube diameter of 180 mm and 10 mm wall thickness by a factor of 3 to 4!

Any stationary column only achieves its theoretical rigidity when it is ideally anchored to the floor. This fact is rarely given the necessary attention and is not easy to achieve with a screw connection. The pyramid shape with its large base area and the matching anchoring sets offer optimal solutions to this problem. Euro-EMC offers two different anchoring sets:

• Anchoring kit 1 for existing concrete surfaces
• Anchoring set 2 for new concrete

The P200 observatory pillar consists of two components: the pyramid and the pyramid head. You can then attach the adaptor that fits your mount to the pyramid head. The same adaptors can be used for the P200 observatory pillar as for the S130 pillar stand from Euro-EMC.
