High-quality grating spectroscope for use in schools, universities or laboratories.
This spectroscope can be used to observe:
- The Fraunhofer lines in the solar spectrum
- Spectral colours of flames for chemical analysis
- Absorption lines caused by liquids
- Emission lines from lamps
Two eyepieces are included, one with low magnification for a complete view of the spectrum, the other for higher magnifications. The eyepiece can be moved micrometrically along the spectrum to measure absorption lines.
The slit is adjustable. The spectroscope also has a small mirror and a prism to allow light to fall onto the slit without moving the spectroscope.
