The Levenhuk Fatum Z500 thermal imaging camera can be used for all night-time activities: security and search operations, hunting, forestry, hiking and camping. It has a compact format, is easy to transport, fits comfortably in the hand and can even be used in bad weather.
The instrument has a magnification of 1.7x to 6.8x, and the digital magnification is stepless, offering more freedom during observation. The microbolometer matrix has a resolution of 400x300 pixels and offers a total of 6 basic colour palettes. There is a function for detecting hot spots.
Large objects, such as a car, can be detected at a distance of up to 1700 m, and classic hunting targets (wild boar, deer, etc.) at a distance of 450–590 m. A target can be illuminated with a laser target marker; its range is limited to 200 m.
The power source consists of two rechargeable batteries with a total capacity of 6000 mAh. They allow the thermal imaging telescope to be used for up to 5 hours in continuous operation.
Other features include a tripod mount (1/4-inch thread) and a waterproof housing (protection class IP66).
The thermal imaging camera is equipped with an integrated recorder; the memory for video recordings and photos is 16 GB. There is also an integrated rangefinder that allows you to determine the distance to various objects. This feature is particularly useful when camping and hunting.
The instrument has an HDMI port, a Type-C port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for connecting to external devices. The thermal imaging telescope supports the TrackIR smartphone app, which allows you to adjust settings, organise photo and video galleries or display images on your smartphone screen. This means that several people can use the device at the same time.
