MERLIN 42 (2020)
Compared to its predecessor, the MERLIN 42 (2020) multifunctional optical attachment has a new collimator lens that is built into to the housing - it can no longer be unscrewed. Improvements can be found in the housing components as well as in the software. This is a clear advantage, because the new generation of devices is thereby more precise and even more robust than its predecessors.
The MERLIN 42 delivers impressive value for money and is, for this reason, the leading thermal imaging attachment. The unbeatable strengths of this optical device are its simple and reliable handling and absolutely precise construction.
The MERLIN 42 can be used hand-held, or as an attachment lens for daylight optical devices. It features an integrated compass and an inclinometer. It is powered by 2 standard CR123 (3.7V) batteries or rechargeable batteries. The powerful VOx sensor and the OLED display in XGA format (1024 x 768 pixels) deliver sharp images that are rich in contrast. The manually focusable 42mm objective lens allows a detection range of up to 1,482m. The built-in VOx sensor delivers 8x magnification of the daylight optics. We recommend the use of the KA-MC clamping adapter (see recommended accessories), which is available for all diameters.

According to a recent nationwide change in the law, the mechanical adaptation of firearms with multifunctional attachable optics is permitted. Thus, a multifunctional attachable optic with a firearm mount is NOT a prohibited object. The product can therefore be freely purchased and used by anyone holding a valid hunting license. Holders of a valid hunting license are permitted to use the product at shooting ranges, e.g. for the purpose of alignment.
