More about the series Stemi 508...
The Stemi 508 is a compact, reliable Greenough stereomicroscope. Its apochromatic optics allow images to be captured with excellent image contrast and colour fidelity. The instruments are designed for a heavy workload. The large object field of up to 36mm allows you to take in the entire sample. The 8:1 zoom allows up to 50X magnification, and when you use the exchangeable optics you can observe an area of up to 122mm in diameter. The Stemi 508 is more ergonomic than any type of Greenough design stereo microscope: The narrow viewing angle of 35° means you can still observe in a relaxed attitude even after many hours of work.
The Stemi 508 microscope can be used to both observe and document your samples exactly as they are: detailed, focused and free from any distortion or colour fringing. The Stemi 508 is your robust all-rounder for daily laboratory work and industrial inspections.
Wide field of view and apochromatic correction
- the apochromatic zoom optics used for the Stemi 508 microscope and efficient stray light suppression ensure a pin-sharp, three-dimensional image with no optical distortions or chromatic aberration.
- observe objects in the field of view of up to 122mm. The wide 8:1 zoom range allows you to observe even the smallest structures under high contrast
- use the exchangeable apochromatic front optics and eyepieces for magnifications from 2X to 250X. Double the resolution or use large working distances of up to 287mm without compromising on optical quality - the choice is yours.

Stemi-Spot K LED Vertical illumination
For deep insights into channels, boreholes and other recesses, you need lighting that is as vertical as possible. True coaxial illumination, in which the light is fed into the viewing channel, is complicated and has its own disadvantages. Our Stemi-Spot vertical illumination allows you to retrofit LED vertical illumination for stereo microscopes.
The vertical illumination is attached to the front optics of the microscope body or, if necessary, to the attachment system attached there (restrictions apply to 1.6x and 2.0x attachment optics). Power supply and control are provided by the ZEISS K tripod with an RJ12 connection (IVI) (or via a K controller). A replaceable dust protection glass is included in the scope of delivery. The light from the LED is focused by a lens and hits the object being viewed almost vertically. The trigger-free LED technology means that this lighting does not flicker, making it ideal for use with a camera.
Scope of delivery
- Stemi 508 doc, trino (100:0/0:100)
- ZEISS tripod M LED (LED can be retrofitted)
