The Levenhuk MED D10T digital microscope is equipped with a digital camera with its own LCD screen, which does not need to be connected to a computer. This means you can use the microscope on its own, as no additional accessories are required. The instrument allows for bright field observations as well as image and video recording. The high image resolution ensures a sharp and detailed image.
The achromatic objective lenses ensure low optical aberrations and enable detailed observations at magnifications of 40–1000x. The 100x magnification objective lens can be used for oil immersion observations; a bottle of immersion oil is included. The higher magnification lenses are spring-mounted to protect them from accidental damage. The wide-angle eyepieces magnify 10x and are also suitable for observation of larger samples. All optical elements have been coated with an antifungal protective coating.
The head consists of a binocular visual part and a vertical optical tube for mounting a digital camera. The visual part is angled at 30°. This prevents neck strain, allowing for longer observations without health complaints. The 360° rotatable head proves to be very practical, especially for group observations: it eliminates the need to turn or move the entire microscope to allow other people to participate in the observations. It is also very practical for seminars and similar events.
The digital camera deserves special attention:
A high-quality 5 MP sensor enables high-quality photos and videos – the image captured by the objective is transmitted to an LCD screen in real time. Pre-installed software makes it easy to set up the camera, edit photos and videos, and save the data obtained for future use. Headphones, a keyboard and a mouse can also be connected. External storage media are also supported.
The table is equipped with a physical scale that allows for precise positioning of samples under the objective. The cross table can be moved along two axes. Focus is adjusted using coarse and fine controls.
The lighting system is located in the lower part of the microscope. It consists of a 5 W LED lighting system with an Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm and filter holder. The lighting is adjustable and is powered by a power pack.
