The Levenhuk Rainbow D2L 0.3M Digital Microscope, Moonstone is a perfect gift for students. It can be used to conduct many interesting experiments with prepared slides or with everyday objects that spark the young researcher's interest. The included digital camera allows you to record and document your findings. Even beginners in the world of research can take truly impressive photos and videos and share them with friends on Facebook or Instagram.
High-quality optics
The lenses are made of a special optical glass with high transparency. All optical surfaces are coated with a multi-layer anti-reflection coating. This is why the microscope delivers such sharp, high-contrast and detailed images of the samples under observation. The three lenses cover a wide magnification range from 40x to 400x. To change the magnification, simply turn the lens turret.
Features of the digital camera
The microscope comes with a high-quality 0.3-megapixel digital camera. The camera is inserted into the eyepiece tube instead of an eyepiece and connected to a computer using the USB cable supplied. Enlarged images of the observed samples are displayed on the computer monitor. This is much more convenient than looking through an eyepiece. In addition, beautiful photos and videos of the observed samples can be taken. Almost every researcher wants to share their research results with others – and with the Levenhuk Rainbow D2L 0.3M Digital Microscope, Moonstone, this is now very easy. Want to post something really interesting and informative on Facebook? Enlarged images of a sugar crystal or videos of saltwater shrimp scurrying around are just the thing.
A USB cable is used to power the camera and connect it to a PC. Compatible operating systems: Windows.
Observe transparent and opaque samples
The microscope is equipped with two LED lighting systems. The lower light source is used to observe transparent samples such as microorganisms in a drop of water or thin sections of plant tissue. The upper light source allows you to observe opaque objects such as leaves, coins, textiles, paper and more. And if you want to look at semi-transparent objects, you'll need both lighting sources. The brightness can be adjusted for a better view of each sample.
Practical design
The microscope housing is made of high-quality plastic. It is much lighter than metal, but still very reliable and suitable for frequent use. The monocular head is tilted at 45° for a particularly comfortable viewing position. The lighting can be powered by mains or batteries. The digital camera is powered by the computer via a USB cable.
CAUTION: In most European countries, the mains voltage is 220–240 V. If the instrument is to be used in a country with a different mains voltage, a voltage converter must be used.
