Atlas, the modular smart telescope: French manufacturer Vaonis has revolutionised stargazing with the launch of its smart telescopes.

More than ten years’ experience have led Vaonis to a crucial realisation: even in smart telescopes, the mechanical and optical components should be separate. The load-bearing, movable mount combines precision mechanics and electronics into a robust unit designed for years of use.

The optics and the camera, on the other hand, benefit from rapid technological advances whilst also having to meet the varying requirements of users. They should therefore be easily interchangeable. With the Atlas series, Vaonis is consistently implementing this concept.
