The DWARF mini sets new standards in mobility for smart telescopes. Weighing only 840 grams, it is the lightest model available, yet offers the ease of use and performance you would expect from a modern smart telescope!
Explore the cosmos in just a few minutes. It calibrates itself automatically, finds objects you select and keeps them precisely in view. Effortlessly capture breathtaking details of lunar craters, distant galaxies, glowing nebulae and, in wide angle, our Milky Way.
The DWARF mini uses the Sony IMX662 Makerasensor in its telephoto lens :
- Format: 1/2.8 inch
- Pixel size: 2.9 µm
- Resolution: 1920 × 1080 (Full HD / 2 MP)
- Up to 90 seconds exposure time
Depending on the operating mode, the files are available in the following format:
- Photo: JPG
- Video: MP4
- Astronomy mode: FITS/TIFF
The DWARF mini has a built-in filter system — precisely tailored to typical astrophotography scenarios:
- Dark frame filter: Automatically captures so-called "dark frames" to eliminate sensor noise, thermal artefacts and "hot pixels" during long exposures — simplifies post-processing and improves image quality.
- Astro filter (430–690 nm transmission): The broadband filter attenuates UV and infrared light. It improves contrast and is well suited for deep-sky objects such as galaxies and star clusters.
- Dual Narrow-Band Filter (Hα 656.3 nm & O III 500.7 nm): Line filter allows light from hydrogen (Hα) and oxygen (O III) emissions to pass through while blocking interfering light. Ideal for emission nebulae in light pollution or moonlight.
Wide-angle image with OmniVision OS02K10 sensor:
- 3.4 mm lens with 6.7 mm focal length
- Format: 1/2.8 inch
- Pixel size: 2.9 µm
- Resolution: 1920 × 1080 (Full HD / 2 MP)
- Up to 30 seconds exposure time
Stellar Studio in the accompanying app: The app adds ("stacks") the individual images to create a composite image. This method improves the signal-to-noise ratio, so that even a relatively short exposure time can produce impressive images. The app performs automatic star correction, noise reduction and other detail enhancements.
MegaStack: The app allows you to combine images from several nights into one image.
The telescope can be rotated 360° in azimuth and 225° in elevation. Once set up, it can therefore reach any desired point in the sky.
The internal memory of 64 GB allows for long exposure times. The data can be transferred via Wi-Fi or the Type-C cable. The Wi-Fi has a range of approximately 15 metres in open space .
The 7000 mAh battery has a runtime of approximately 4 hours. It can be charged using the included Type-C cable. This takes approximately 100 minutes.
