Globe Bar Minerva Classic 40cm

This elegant bar globe has a drinks compartment inside that can hold 9 glasses and 2 to 3 bottles. Additional bottles can be stored on the lower shelf, which is decorated with natural water-based colours. The map is a faithful reproduction of a 16th-century map.

The legs are made of beech wood and complete the elegant overall appearance of this globe. Thanks to the swivel castors, the globe can be moved easily.

The globe is made from a special cellulose-based plastic. This gives it a natural look and feel, and makes it lightweight yet sturdy.

The full charm of antique maps is found in this new reproduction of a map from 1500. This era marked the “Golden Age of Cartography” and is associated with the names of famous cartographers like Martin Waldeseemüller, Piri Reis, Gemma Rainer Frisius and Gerhard Mercator.

This map is full of geographical references which conform to the knowledge of the time. The inside of the globe is finely decorated with old iconography and mythological characters from the celestial sphere.
