RAVENSBURGER CHILDREN'S GLOBE - Made by COLUMBUS.
The RAVENSBURGER children's globe stimulates three of the most important qualities in our children's lives in a playful way: communication, curiosity and imagination. This globe, developed by Ravensburger, is produced exclusively by Columbus. It shows our Earth in a unique and vivid way with vividly drawn mountains and plains, fertile zones, deserts and other areas in different colours. The names of continents, landscapes, oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, countries and important cities are all included.
The lifelike illustrations of numerous animals, plants, people and buildings from around the world are particularly valuable for educational purposes and are also explained in a 96-page, 4-colour illustrated booklet.
Each illustration on the globe is numbered, making it easy to find the corresponding explanation in the accompanying booklet. In addition, they are organised by continents and oceans and focus in particular on animal and plant species threatened by environmental destruction.
From the accompanying booklet:
159: The cheetah can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h and kills its prey in a chase. In fact, cheetahs only hunt animals that are fleeing. If the prey does not move, the cheetah does not know what to do with it. Today, these big cats are only found in parts of East and South Africa and in Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan in Asia.
