The COLUMBUS globes in the Professional Line are not only masterpieces of precise cartography, but also of creative craftsmanship - a successful collaboration between specialists in the fields of cartography, glass art and design. The glassblowers play a special role here: the crystal glass globes that characterise all models in this line are mouth-blown and, with diameters of 34 cm, 40 cm and an impressive 51 cm, achieve a map scale that is otherwise only found in large atlases.

The Duorama map image shows vegetation geography information when unlit. When lit, the political image of our Earth appears with clearly differentiated colours.
When unlit, the physical map image shows you a view of the Earth in unprecedented plasticity. All the shades of the oceans and vegetation zones, rich green tones and brilliant azure blue – discover our breathtaking planet. The hand-drawn, highly refined relief makes the depths of the sea appear almost three-dimensional, even though they cannot be felt.
When illuminated, the political differentiation of the Earth appears. The fine country borders appear in harmoniously coordinated colours. Nevertheless, the depths of the oceans, desert landscapes and forest areas remain visible, as the delicate country borders are complementary to the topographical surface.
