For those interested in cartography, a globe has a major advantage over a map: the globe is true to area, angle and longitude. A map cannot fulfil all three of these characteristics at the same time.
However, this scaled-down, spherical model of the Earth as a celestial body is impressive not only because of its "cartographic" capabilities, but also because of its mix of materials and clever dual function. The illuminated globe "Earth" by radius-design can be adjusted to any height. With a height of 180 cm and a diameter of 30 cm, as well as a combination of steel, aluminium and plastic materials, the "Earth" illuminated globe also makes a wonderful effect light. The globe's functionality is impressive thanks to its double map image (illuminated physically, unilluminated politically). The floor globe Earth lamp is available in both German and English. A 60w/e14 standard light bulb ("candle shape") is used as the lamp, which is not included.
