The Acuter Luma-X 40ED solar telescope offers a special innovation. The combination of neutral density filter and blockfilter built into the rear deflection optics can be switched so that the telescope can show the sun in either H-alpha light or white light. This allows you to observe either protuberances or sunspots – with just one instrument!
The telescope objective contains an ED glass element that increases sharpness and contrast as well as colour fidelity and detail reproduction.
The Acuter Luma-X 40ED is a safe solar telescope equipped with a 40-millimetre etalon that displays the H-alpha line with a half-width of 0.6 angstroms or better. This allows observation of active prominences, filaments and other details on the sun's surface.
The set includes a zoom eyepiece, a universal smartphone adapter, a solar finder and a sun visor.
The Acuter Luma-X 40ED complies with and meets the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015 (filters for direct observation of the sun). Always follow the instructions in the manual.
