The Acuter Maksy 60 telescope is a fully equipped telescope set. Its distinctive feature is a flap attached to the side. When this is removed, the internal structure of the Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system can be viewed: highly educational and ideal for schools and public observatories.
This compact and easily transportable telescope is excellent for observing the Moon and planets. The smartphone adapter makes it easy to take photographs of these objects. Thanks to the amici prism, even naked-eye observation is possible. The mini-Dobsonian mount is robust and intuitive to use.
The Maksutov telescope is named after Dmitri Maksutov (1896 - 1964), a Russian optician and astronomer who developed this optical design in 1941.
