Product description

N 114/500 telescope: This classic Newtonian telescope provides 114mm of aperture in a particularly light and compact design. It is therefore an ideal telescope for beginners. It is very easy to transport, simple to handle and requires no special expertise to operate. This telescope you will show you the rings of Saturn and the cloud bands and moons of Jupiter - looking like a small planetary system all of its own. The brighter nebulae and regions of star formation, such as the Orion Nebula, can also be observed. Why not go on your own personal voyage of discovery.

Excellent starter telescope

I bought this telescope 2 years ago, so my review is based on my 2 year experience with it. Collimation is the key to get the most out of this telescope. If you don’t have time to do it forget it, buy a refractor instead. But if you do it (with laser) you will be surprised of the performance. Forget the supplied eyepieces. I replaced them with Plossls (25 and 10 mm) and a Goldline (6 mm). Moon looks beautiful. Saturn with its rings were seen clearly and Jupiter with its cloud bands also. For deep sky objects go out and leave the city behind and you will be amazed.

So to put it in a nutshell it is a best value for money. But you have to learn how to collimate it.
