The MC 80/1000 optics:
This telescope impresses with its particularly compact design. With an 80 mm aperture, it is well equipped for your first trips to the sky. Nature observers get a high-quality spotting scope at a minimal price. The smallest Maksuvov optics from Skywatcher are just as impressive as their larger siblings. Due to their design, they offer high contrast and are ideal for nature and astronomical observations. Compared to achromatic lens optics with a similar length, the Maksutov offers higher image quality and no visible colour aberrations. At only 33 cm long and weighing 1.1 kg, it is also a featherweight. Despite its small size, the optics collect 130 times more light than the dark-adapted eye (7 mm). The Saturn ring or the famous moons of Jupiter, which were discovered by Galileo Galilei, are rewarding objects to observe.
As a spotting scope for nature observation, the optics offer a suitable alternative at a low price. Many classic spotting scopes only allow a fixed camera adaptation in the high-end range for several hundred pounds. This telescope is completely different: numerous adaptations for nature photography are available. An integrated T-2 thread allows you to easily connect an SLR camera. Of course, you can also take pictures of the moon for astrophotography. The sharpness can be adjusted with a side knob. This moves the primary mirror backwards or forwards. This mechanism allows for a large range of focus and offers numerous adaptation options.
Scope of delivery of the optics:
- Optical tube with 80 mm aperture and 1000 mm focal length
- 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces (1.25")
- 90° diagonal mirrors (1.25")
- Red dot finder
The EQ-1Mount: This parallactic mount provides the possibility of aligning the optics to the Pole Star. The correct polar elevation can be set for any observing site or geographical latitude. Slow motions on the Right Ascension and Declination axes allow objects to be precisely adjusted in the field of view and followed, with a counterweight provided for precise counterbalancing of the optics.
