Product description

N 130/650: Light machine for beginners – out into the nebulae
Your first step into deep space: the Omegon Horizon N 130/650 is not just a telescope – it is a little light machine. With its parabolic 130 mm mirrors, it collects so much light that you can even venture beyond the solar system. Observe the delicate structures of gas nebulae and countless stars in distant clusters. This telescope shows you what is possible with a beginner's instrument and will certainly accompany you for a long time.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Brighter images: The 130 mm mirrors collect over 30% more light than a 114 mm telescope.
  • Sharp imaging: The parabolic primary mirror delivers excellent image quality without the blurring of simple spherical mirrors.
  • An allround telescope: Moon, planets or even the highlights of the great nebulae? This telescope can do it all.
  • Precise focusing without play: The high-quality Crayford focuser with 1.25-inch adaptors ensures exact sharpness.
  • Stable hold: the tube clamps and Vixen-style prism rail ensure a secure and low-vibration connection to your mount.

More aperture, more universe

At 130 mm, this telescope is one of the larger models in the entry-level class. What does that mean for you? With this instrument, you collect 30% more light than with a 114 mm telescope and more than twice as much as with a 90 mm telescope. This increase in light makes a decisive difference when observing fainter objects. Suddenly, you can see the dumbbell shape in the Dumbbell Nebula M27 or the globular cluster M13 with some stars already breaking away from its spherical shape. You are sure to let out a few "ahhs" and "ohhs". With a 130 mm aperture, you're ready to go – into the depths of space.

The sharpness of a parabolic mirror

The aperture alone is useless if the quality of the optics is not right. That is why the Omegon N 130/650 is equipped with a precisely manufactured parabolic primary mirror. Unlike the simple spherical mirrors often found in this price range, a parabolic mirror perfectly focuses the light into a single point. The result is impressive image sharpness and high contrast across the entire field of view. You will be amazed at how fine and clear the details on the Moon and planets appear and how sharply the stars are reproduced.

From wide field to planets

Its compact but sufficient size makes this telescope a true all-rounder for beginners and occasional observers. It is short enough for impressive observations of extensive star clusters and nebulae. At the same time, with the right eyepieces, it is capable of high magnifications for detailed observation of the moon and planets. Whether you want to stroll through the Milky Way or search for Jupiter and its planets, this telescope can do it all!

Omegon Accessory Box: What good is the best telescope without the right accessories?
With the Omegon accessory box, you get a coordinated set of equipment that makes getting started as easy as possible. Instead of laboriously searching for individual eyepieces and adaptors, you get everything you need for your first observations and even your first moon photos. And all in a quality that exceeds the standard. What do you need to get started? Something that will allow you to make impressive observations right away. This includes two eyepieces for low and medium magnifications. Sometimes you want to get even closer to the action. That's exactly what the included 2x barlow lens is for. It simply plugs between the eyepiece and the telescope and doubles the magnification of the respective eyepiece. An LED finder is extremely important for quickly searching for and finding objects. A red glowing dot in the darkness shows you exactly where to look. You will soon realise that this inconspicuous component is just as important as your telescope. And with the extension tube, you can always find the right focus level.

Your smartphone becomes an astro camera
Perhaps the most exciting part of the accessory set is the smartphone adapter. It allows you to attach your own mobile phone directly to the eyepiece and take photos of what you are observing. Capture the cratered landscapes of the Moon or photograph Jupiter and its moons. The included Bluetooth remote shutter release ensures blur-free images. Share your fascination with the starry sky with your family and friends. It couldn't be easier.
