The Sky-Watcher AC 102/500 telescope:
An uncomplicated instrument of very short length for viewing the heavens or for terrestrial observing. With a 102mm objective lens, this telescope allows a glimpse of the vastness of the universe at an affordable price. Its short focal length means it can be called a 'rich field' telescope, which allows great wide angle observing. This refractor is has more resolution than a 70mm, meaning you can see greater detail when planetary observing. The resolution is 1.14 arc-seconds. Experience the Andromeda Galaxy or the Orion Nebula almost three-dimensionally, because the gigantic field of view turns your observing into a space walk.
The Skywatcher AZ-3 mount:
This mount is very popular among beginners in astronomy as it is so easy to use. The entire telescope can be easily moved around in azimuth and altitude. For beginners, this has the advantage that they do not have to be bothered with first aligning the telescope. Setting up the telescope is very quick and easy: simply place the mount on the tripod, drop the telescope into the mount and you are ready to go! Fine adjustments are via flexible slow-motions and the telescope can be locked in both axes so that images of terrestrial objects can remain in view once found. The mount is attached to a height-adjustable aluminium tripod.
