N 114/500 telescope: This classic Newtonian telescope provides 114mm of aperture in a particularly light and compact design. It is therefore an ideal telescope for beginners. It is very easy to transport, simple to handle and requires no special expertise to operate. This telescope you will show you the rings of Saturn and the cloud bands and moons of Jupiter - looking like a small planetary system all of its own. More than 4,5 inches of aperture integrated in a lightweight construction. With parallactic mounting EQ 1, finder scope 5x24 mm, eyepiece 1,25 " and aluminium tripod. The EQ 1 is the smallest mounting of this production range. The Skywatcher 114/500 EQ 1 is the perfect telescope for novices as its construction is stable and light, and thus, the transportation is very comfortable.
This telescope is equipped with a parabolic main mirror and corrects the spheric aberration, so that that you won´t have to face different locations of the focal point and, in consequence, fuzziness.
With this telescope, you´ll see the rings of saturn or the clouds and moons of jupiter which look like an own small planetary system.
But you´ll also have the chance to discover light nebulas such as the orion nebula.

The SkyWatcher 114/500mm EQ-1 has decent optics for its price class. But, for an instrument of this size, the mount is only suitable for visual observing. It is really worth investing a little more money if you want more performance. If you want something you will also be able to use for astrohotography in the future, we recommend the SkyWatcher 150/1200mm NEQ-3.
