The AC120/600 telescope:
This is an uncomplicated, extremely compact instrument suitable for both astronomical and terrestrial observing. With a120mm diameter objective lens, this telescope opens a window into the vastness of the universe at an affordable price. It can be called a 'rich field' telescope with its short focal length, making superb wide angle observing possible. The resolution of this refractor is substantially better than that of the 70mm version, providing a more detailed view when planetary observing. The resolution is a very respectable 1.14 arcseconds. Experience virtually three-dimensional views of the Andromeda Galaxy or the Orion Nebula - the enormous field of view almost turns it into a space walk. Observe Saturn with its free-floating rings and Cassini division for example. Or take a look at our largest planet, Jupiter, showing its numerous cloud bands and the beautiful Great Red Spot. You can even see detail of the finest turbulence in the clouds when using a contrast filter.
The Orion AstroView mount: comfortably track celestial objects
The Earth is constantly moving, and stars, planets and deep sky objects appear to wander across the sky.
Take advantage of this parallactic mount: once you have aligned the AstroView with the North Star, you can easily find an object and keep it in the field of view with the tracking axis.
For this purpose, you will find rotary knobs on each axis for precise fine movement. Correct the Earth's rotation yourself, even at maximum magnification. This makes even hours of observation under the starry sky absolutely relaxing.
One profile for many telescopes
The Astroview mount has a GP prism mount. This means that you can quickly and easily mount and remove your telescope optics or even attach another tube weighing up to 6 kg – all with just one mount.
Integrated pole finder
Would you like to take your first steps in astrophotography? The mount has a built-in pole finder telescope. This allows you to easily align the entire telescope with the north celestial pole and take photos with short lens focal lengths. Gain some initial experience – perhaps sky photography is right up your alley. Find out for yourself.
Height-adjustable aluminium tripod
The aluminium tripod is height-adjustable and can therefore be used by adults and children. In the centre of the tripod is a crossbar with a practical accessory tray.
