The AC 234/1800 optics: With this telescope, Tecnosky offers a refractor with a huge aperture: 234 millimetres free of obstruction means a resolution that mirror telescopes with their annoying secondary mirrors can only dream of! The achromatic doublet with air gap shows hardly any chromatic aberration thanks to the small aperture ratio of f/8. An ideal field of application is the separation and measurement of double stars and the obstruction-free observation of fine structures on the moon and planets. We recommend using the Baader Semi-Apo filter (see recommended accessories) to suppress colour aberrations on bright structures and increase contrast.
For photography, the refractor is recommended for deep sky wider fields and photography with line filters, for example HII regions with H-alpha filters or photography with OIII filters and SII filters (Hubble palette).
The refractor can of course also be equipped with an H-alpha filter for solar observation (see example image).
The tube of the achromatic refractor is made of three millimetres thick aluminium with internal baffles and is manufactured in Italy. The scope comes with tube clamps and a prism rail according to Losmandy standard.
