With an astrograph, you have a Newtonian telescope with integrated corrector that is optimised for astrophotography.
This particularly high-quality model from Astro Systeme Austria, ASA, has a hyperbolic primary mirror, which ensures coma-free imaging.

The focuser (OK3Z) is operated by a stepper motor. It is suitable for heavy cameras and is permanently mounted on the astrograph. The corrector lenses are integrated into the focuser to keep the collimated system stable with this extremely fast aperture ratio.
With this astrograph, large-area images of the night sky can be taken very quickly and in high resolution. This fact made the 8" Hyperbol from ASA the telescope of choice for the professional Super-Wasp II project, a programme for searching for exoplanets. A total of twelve hyperbolic ASA astrographs will be used in the immediate vicinity of the Very Large Telescope at Paranal in Chile. With this astrograph, you are equipped like the professionals!
