Omegon 110mm apochromat - more light for beautiful astronomy photos
Omegon's new apochromat now provides you with even more light. Its 110mm aperture shows more detail for even better astronomy photos. Compared to its predecessor, it offers you 20% more area, but still remains compact. Let yourself be inspired - by brighter and more brilliant pictures.
A target in the eyepiece: but without searching or wobbling
Gazing at the starry sky is lovely. But exploring it yourself is even better. The EQ570DX mount conveniently guides your telescope to the desired celestial object – via an app or a hand controller. This allows you to start exploring the starry sky straight away, from Saturn to distant nebulae. You can rely completely on your mount. GoTo control, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a toothed belt reduction system and a sturdy aluminium tripod are all included. What’s behind it?
Advantages at a glance
- GoTo control: Select your target and the mount will automatically move to it.
- Observe and photograph: A sturdy base for relaxing nights of observation and your first astrophotographs.
- Control it your way: Use the hand controller or control the mount conveniently via the app.
- Open to your setup: Compatible with ASIAIR, SkySafari, N.I.N.A., PHD and many other astronomy apps.
- Toothed belt reduction for photography: Smooth drive for precise tracking and longer exposures.
- Stable base: The aluminium tripod with 45mm legs stands securely, even when the ground isn’t perfectly level.
- 15 kg load capacity: Enough space for your current setup and for any additional equipment you might add later.
A stable base for every observation
The best telescope is only as good as the mount behind it. It forms the basis for your entire setup. It determines just how stable your equipment really is. The mount can support up to 15 kilograms. Whether you’re conducting Moon observations, tracking planets or taking your first deep-sky images.
Today you’re looking through the eyepiece. Tomorrow you’ll be taking your first astrophotography shots.
Find the objects without a long search
Finding a celestial object takes time, especially if you’re not particularly experienced. What’s more, many objects are faint or aren’t located near brighter stars. But with the GOTO control system, the EQ570DX takes a lot of the work off your hands. Simply select your chosen object via the hand controller or the app, and the mount will move to the target. That way, you spend less time searching and more time on observation.
The astronomer’s style: simple or high-tech
Tonight, you just want to observe the Moon. On other nights, you’re drawn out to deep-sky objects: perhaps the Orion Nebula or galaxies. And then there’s astrophotography, of course. The EQ570DX makes both possible: relaxed nights of observation and precise astrophotography.
With its toothed belt reduction system, it ensures precise tracking. What’s more, the mount can be controlled not only via the hand controller, but also via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth using software such as ASIAIR, SkySafari, N.I.N.A. or PHD. You’re free to choose how you work, and the mount adapts accordingly.
One decision, but many years of enjoyment
Ask ten experienced amateur astronomers where you shouldn’t skimp. Nine of them would say: the mount. Because it determines whether your telescope tracks smoothly and the objects don’t dance around in the eyepiece at the slightest breeze. The EQ570DX is suitable for telescopes up to 200mm in diameter. That covers most entry-level and mid-range setups. You buy it once and enjoy observation with it for a long time.

The optics
The Omegon ED apo refractor has outstanding optics, a thoroughly though-out design and high-quality mechanical components. This very special telescope provides astrophotographers, visual observers or nature watchers with a unique source of pleasure when observing starry skies or nature watching. Pin-sharp stars, right out to the edge of the field of view, can be just as taken for granted as the outstanding mechanical precision.
The apochromat doublet
TrueColor lens elements are built into the objective lens of Omegon ED apochromat doublets. The two element objective lens is constructed of a clever combination of OHARA FPL-53 and S-NBM51 glass. These are special types of ED glass with high and low refractive indices and superior light transmission characteristics. A particularly special feature is the use of S-NBM51 glass, which is usually employed in the optics of apochromatic fluorescence imaging microscopes. The benefit to you is that the optics provide a particularly sharp and high-contrast image!
You will be able to see subtle detail on planets, using a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope for example.
