The AP 80/344 optics are an apochromat optimised for astrophotography with DSLR cameras in APS-C format or comparable astro cameras. The integrated flattener (field flattening lens) ensures a consistent focus position right to the edge of the image field and, with f/4.3, provides a particularly fast aperture ratio. This high light intensity significantly reduces the required exposure time and allows the use of narrow-band filters despite the relatively small aperture.
The triplet lens with FPL-53 special glass ensures high colour purity. The entire optical system, consisting of the objective and flattener, delivers a colour-pure, crisp image across the entire image field. A diagonal mirror is included in the scope of delivery so that you can enjoy this performance with your own eyes. It can be screwed onto the M48 thread.
The focuser weighs 4 kilograms and can therefore support heavy cameras, which can be moved sensitively using the low-profile focusing mechanism.
With a transport length of just 370 millimetres, the telescope is very easy to transport. The sturdy transport case also helps.
