The AP 130/1200 optics: With a focal length of 1200 millimetres, you can achieve high magnifications even with moderate eyepiece focal lengths, which is good for the viewing position at the eyepiece, for example! Since the radii of a longer system are not so extreme, this optics is ready for use more quickly due to faster cooling.
The chromatic correction achieved is excellent and enables absolutely convincing contrast values! Binocular observations, e.g. of the moon, Jupiter or Saturn, become a real pleasure! In calm air, this optics resolves so finely that you almost feel like you are there!
With a 130 mm aperture, you already have almost 70% more light-gathering area than with a 100 mm instrument. The resolution is already improved by approx. 30%. The illumination is also completely sufficient for larger camera sensors.
