Maksutov telescopes
Maksutov telescopes are very compact and therefore ideally suited for portable use or for when travelling. The enclosed optics and collimation stability with Maksutovs ensure their robustness.
Maksutov telescopes have a very long focal length despite their compact design. But the field of view is rather narrow when compared to achromatic refractor telescopes. However, this combination makes Maksutov telescopes ideal instruments for observing the Moon and planets. And when equipped with an Amici prism, they are also very well suited to nature-watching and nature photography.
The smartphone adapter with Bluetooth shutter release allows you to take touch-free photographs of the Moon without blurring the image.
The finder scope produces an upright, non-inverted image, so that it matches the view through the telescope. This makes things much easier, particularly during nature observation.
The Acuter Traverse Pro GoTo mount is a very lightweight, computer-controlled azimuth mount for astronomy. With built-in Bluetooth and WiFi, it can be used anywhere and controlled wirelessly via smartphone or tablet. This requires the installation of the free Acuter Sky app for iOS or Android.
The mount can support telescopes weighing up to 5 kilograms and allows you to automatically navigate to more than 11,000 celestial objects in the app's extensive database. Once you have entered your coordinates into the app and followed a simple alignment procedure, you are ready to search for your favourite objects in the universe using your telescope via the intuitive touchscreen interface.
A sturdy stainless steel tripod with accessory tray and extendable legs is included in the set.
