The completely redesigned OCAL H-2 Astrograph
... was developed with the aim of being the ultimate astrograph with a large aperture and very short focal length. The development at OCAL took over four years. Every single part, from the optics to the mechanics, was completely redesigned and developed in-house. The mounting of the primary mirror and the suspension of the secondary mirror are completely new and have been implemented without compromise. The result is the first astrograph of its kind that unconditionally delivers what it promises.
- Integrated corrector: 4-element apochromatic corrector with a Super ED lens
- Completely newly developed 8-fold ball-bearing 2.5" tooth and drive focuser with coarse and fine drive. A tilt device is integrated in the base. The corrector is screwed into the focuser. The focuser has an integrated ball-bearing rotator (CAA) with degree scale.
- Carbon fibre tube with Antireflex coating: noctutec SL-94 Antireflex coating
- Fog protection: Integrated automatic OCAL anti-fog system for main and secondary mirrors.
- Tube clamps: Made of aluminium CNC milled, 10 mm thick, 22 mm wide, inner diameter 254 mm, each with 6 flat surfaces with M6 threads for attaching accessories
Please note: Each H-2 telescope is manufactured in small batches. Therefore, please allow for a delivery time of approx. 4-6 weeks if it is not indicated as available from stock. Here, quality clearly takes precedence over quantity!
