The new Vespera II
Vespera II is the next stage in the development of its predecessor and is your new observation station – the perfect combination of telescope and camera. Intelligent and fully automatic, the wonders of the universe are now easily accessible to everyone. Explore and observe the night sky, take your own photos of celestial objects, learn about the cosmos and share your discoveries in one place.
Have you always wanted to capture the stars? This observation station allows you to photograph the cosmos at the touch of a button. Vespera II integrates technology that allows you to observe and photograph deep sky objects with ease. You can now immortalise galaxies, nebulae, star clusters and much more. Vespera II now has a significantly larger sensor, the Sony IMX585, and offers much higher resolution thanks to CovalENS technology. This makes the Vespera II even more detailed and offers space for large nebulae and galaxies, such as the North America Nebula or the Andromeda Galaxy.
The Vespera app "Singularity" also offers educational content for the new model, making observation more interactive and exciting. You can now discover the many secrets that make the universe so fascinating. Use Vespera II's live stacking technology to make visible what is invisible to the naked eye. It's very easy to use: select the object you want to observe with the app and Vespera II will align and track it.
Auto-initialisation: Vespera II uses your mobile phone's GPS, star pattern recognition (plate solving) and astrometry to calibrate itself. Set up your instrument and get it ready automatically in less than 5 minutes.
Automatic alignment: The observation station features Go-To technology. Select a target in the app or enter any sky coordinates, and the station will automatically move and align itself.
Auto-tracking: Powered by a motor and controlled by a built-in computer, Vespera II automatically tracks your stellar object and compensates for the Earth's rotation.
Quadruplet Apochromatic Refractor: Vaonis has developed a unique 50 mm quadruplet lens consisting of 2 groups of 2 lenses made of Lanthanum glass. The Vespera optics are one of the most precise and powerful optical designs on the market with minimal distortion, chromatic aberration or astigmatism.
Highly sensitive Sony sensor: Vespera II uses one of the latest Sony sensors designed for extremely low light. Vaonis has also developed its own electronic board to ensure optimal heat management. A hot sensor means a lot of image defects, so the sensor board is designed to dissipate maximum heat.
Singularity app: Your guide to reaching the stars. Singularity is your control room, the place where you decide everything. Highly intuitive and user-friendly, you can easily access any stellar object from the catalogue. You will receive personalised recommendations on what to observe based on your location and the astronomical calendars, as well as hints about the secrets of the cosmos. Singularity accompanies you every step of the way on your journey to the stars.
CovalENS is a feature of Vespera II that allows users to create mosaic images of the night sky. With this feature, you can take multiple images of neighbouring areas of the sky and then stitch them together into a larger image. CovalENS uses advanced algorithms to align the images and remove distortions. This feature allows you to capture breathtaking views of the cosmos that would otherwise not be possible.
LumENS, the AI-powered companion!
LumENS is now available free of charge for all Vespera users and allows users to interact with their telescope like never before.
This AI answers astronomical questions, explains celestial objects currently being observed, and provides up-to-date astro knowledge in real time. The AI can be addressed by voice or keyboard. Voice input currently works in English and French, while keyboard chat works in all preset languages.
This update is a big step towards making astronomy accessible to everyone and entertaining even users with prior knowledge!
