The AC 80/480 optics are a high-resolution achromatic refractor with an 80 mm FMC doublet and internal light baffles. In addition to these optical features, the achromat impresses with its powder-coated aluminium tube and very solid focuser.
The telescope is ideal for large field observations or photography of wide areas of the sky. The optics capture large structures such as the Andromeda Nebula, open star clusters and even comets. With an aperture ratio of f/6, it is very fast.
In combination with the QUARK H-alpha filter from DayStar (see recommended accessories), the Achromat can also be used very well as a solar telescope.
The achromatic telescope has a retractable dew shield for short transport lengths. A sturdy case is included in the delivery.
