More about the series Photon...
The N 203/800 optics are incredibly high-speed and, therefore, ideally suited to astrophotography! You require a significantly shorter exposure time comparted to a system with a higher focal length. With its optional coma corrector, this Newtonian turns into an real astrograph.
Due to its design, the Newtonian telescope produces images with no colour errors. Unlike other telescope designs, where a lot of money needs to be invested in the lenses to minimise these errors.
With an 8 inch (approx. 203 millimetre) aperture, visual observations of nebulae and galaxies are a great pleasure too. The supplied extension tubes ensure the ability to reach the correct focal position.
An integrated fan provides fast cooling to the ambient temperature.
An 8-inch model is also still relatively easy to transport and only requires a medium-sized mount.
The working distance from the M48 thread is 55 mm. Using a T-ring automatically sets the correct distance for astrophotography using DSLR cameras.

It is not only important which telescope you buy, but also where you buy it.
We provide extra help:
- We are a leading telescope dealer and know these instruments like the back of our hands.
- We are always very happy to offer our assistance after your purchase, should you encounter any problems with your telescope’s setup or operation.
- Our ‘Telescope Basics’ booklet - an 80-page beginner's guide for our telescopes – is provided free of charge with every telescope we sell.
