With an aperture of 126 millimetres, the Z126 is the largest model in the very popular ZenithStar series. The synthetic fluorite FPL53 duplet with air gap sits in a precision CNC-machined lens cell and ensures the sharp, high-contrast images that are so typical of the ZenithStar series apochromats.
With the optional flattener, the corrected image field is 43 millimetres in diameter, sufficient for illuminating a full-frame DSLR – and that with a fast aperture ratio of f/6.2.
The Zenithstar 126 Apo comes with a newly developed 3.3" R&P focuser. This has a sufficiently high load capacity for all photographic accessories, can be rotated 360° and is naturally equipped with a reduction gear. Every astrophotographer knows how important a good focuser is. The Z126's focuser meets these requirements.
The Z126 Apo comes with a wide prism rail in accordance with the Losmandy standard. This provides greater stability compared to the narrower Vixen rail.
The ZenithStar 126 is a dream telescope for both visual and astrophotographic use. Expand it with the extensive range of accessories from William Optics to suit your needs!
A further special feature of the new William Optics apochromats is the specially calculated Bahtinov focus mask:
These new focus masks made from optical acrylic glass provide 92% transparency.
The imprinted pattern provides a diffraction structure which is around three times brighter than classic metal masks. The acrylic glass masks therefore produce a clearer diffraction pattern and enable focusing with the help of fainter stars.
