Top class refractors: Esprit series three lens element apochromats offer high-end quality telescopes to astrophotographers and discerning observers. The combination of an Ohara FPL-53 ED lens element with two other lens elements ensures that the objective lens delivers high contrast but no apparent chromatic aberration - even with very bright objects. Ohara is a German company from Hofheim in the Taunus range and is a world leader in the manufacture and development of optical glass. FPL series glasses were developed by Ohara specifically for applications in astronomy.
The advantages in a nutshell:
- high-contrast optics with no colour fringing
- high light gathering power, ideal for astrophotography (see field flattener accessory available)
- multi-coated lenses and internal light baffles
- rotatable focuser with 1.25" and 2" adapter and high carrying capacity
- fine adjustment on focuser with 1:11 ratio for extremely accurate focusing

- 9x50 finder scope with angled eyepiece
