The SolarScout SS60-DS is an especially good-value H-alpha telescope with special properties:
- Achromatic doublet: The high-quality refractor, with a lens diameter of 60 millimetres, provides high contrast and resolution! The connection is equally well suited to astronomical mounts and camera tripods.
- Helical focusing: Focusing is achieved using an easy to grip ring which changes the distance to the front lens. This type of focusing is especially sensitive and ensures that even heavy accessories cannot slip through. The accessories do not turn when the focusing wheel is turned.
- Integrated solar finder: A real help in safely aligning the telescope towards the Sun.
The Solar Scout solar telescope is equipped with a tried-and-tested QUARK H-alpha filter. Its special feature... An integrated heater regulates the precise mirror distance in the etalon filter using thermal expansion. This keeps the filter operating optimally. A mini-USB cable (supplied) provides the necessary power for this.
