The Vixen AC 140/800optics:
Astronomers looking for refractors with large apertures will be convinced by this instrument when they take a look at our night sky with 400x light intensity. The new version of the NA 140 has a Japanese-made objective with excellent optical performance. Compared to previous models, it delivers better sharpness and a clearer image. The advanced 4-element optics, arranged in two groups, minimises chromatic aberration. The main lens consists of two elements, as in an achromatic refractor. Behind this main optics, another correction lens consisting of two elements is used ("NEO Achromat"). This lens provides better colour correction and a flat image field. This makes the telescope extremely interesting for astrophotography.
The basic equipment includes an integrated dew shield, tube clamps and a prism rail for mounting on your mount. The 1:7 reduction gear for the focuser is included as standard and allows for very fine focusing.
The advantages at a glance:
- Significantly improved colour aberration
- Flat field of view
- 2-inch focuser
- Excellent suitability for astrophotography
- Made in Japan!
