The AP 100/800 optics are a three-lens SuperED Apo LZOS. The triplet delivers a Strehl ratio of 95% or better and comes with a test report. The Apo is beyond reproach: you can rely on the highest possible contrast and colour-pure images!
APM now equips this optics with a focuser and a reducer that optimises this apochromat for astrophotography:
- 2.5" APM focuser (ZTA): The focuser is equipped with 1:10 fine focus and is rotatable. The rotation allows you to turn the camera into the required position. The back focus is 180 millimetres from the end of the 2" adaptor. This allows a lot of leeway!
- Ricardi reducer: The reducer is connected via the M63 thread. It reduces the focal length to 600 mm, reducing the aperture ratio from f/8 to f/6. This is ideal for astrophotography. The fully corrected image circle is 42 mm.
The complete adaptation of the reducer is included in the scope of delivery. The camera is then connected via the usual T2 thread.
