The ARTEC, a Newtonian Astrograph with a built-in focusing motor, offers you an astronomical telescope of the highest standard. The OTAs are manufactured entirely in Italy and are characterised by a unique attention to detail.
This Astrograph utilises the classic optical design of a Newtonian telescope with a native aperture ratio of f/4.0, as well as a parabolic Pyrex primary mirror that is aluminised and boasts a reflectivity of over 95 %. The secondary mirror undergoes the same treatment. Its compact size and relatively low weight make the ARTEC 200 the ideal instrument for the travelling astronomer who is always on the lookout for a dark sky. Its ease of transport, and above all its reliability in maintaining collimation thanks to highly sophisticated mechanics, make the Alpha Star / ARTEC superior to other Newtonian telescopes of similar size.
Only optics that guarantee outstanding performance of telescopes are used in the ARTEC series, including a correction of at least λ/8 and a Strehl ratio of at least 0.95.
In addition to the electronic focuser, this instrument also comes with a coma corrector, which provides a focal length of 912 mm and a resulting aperture ratio of f/4.5. The resulting illuminated field corresponds to 55 mm (full-frame sensors).
